Adult Religious Education

“If you live according to my teaching,

you are truly my disciples;

then you will know the truth

and the truth will set you free.”

-- John 8:32

"Adult Catechesis has three major goals:
1. It invites and enables adults 'to acquire an attitude of conversion to the Lord.'
2. Catechesis for adults helps them to make 'a conscious and firm decision to live the gift and choice of faith through membership in the Christian community.'
3. Catechesis for adults helps them to become 'more willing and able to be a Christian disciple in the world.'"

-- National Directory for Catechesis

Confirmation for Adults

Many Catholic adults find for various reasons that they did not receive their Confirmation and sometimes even Eucharist in their formative years. These classes are also great refresher courses for confirmed Catholics who wish to update their knowledge of church. St. Gregory recognizes this and offers classes on Sunday mornings at 9:00 a.m.

Landings at 7 p.m. in Flavian Lounge

The Landings Program welcomes inactive Catholics back to the practice of the sacraments and greater involvement in the life of the parish. Have you been away form the church and the practice of the sacraments? Do you have a family member or friend who has been inactive in their faith? Do you want to return home? Call Sister Brenda to register for the next “Landings” group. ALL ARE WELCOMEFor more information about Landings click here.

Small Faith Communities

     Sometimes we prize our individuality so much that we end up feeling isolated from others and from God.  We need to "belong".  Now is the time to explore a growing reawakening in the Catholic Church known as Small Faith Sharing Communities.  This will provide answers to your search for better relationships:  with your friends, neighbors, loved ones, and most importantly, with God.
    St. Gregory’s is a very large parish and it can sometimes seem impersonal and overwhelming.  Do you ever wish you could see more familiar faces and feel more “at home” here?  In Small Faith Communities you will make the personal connections that allow your feelings of “community” to grow.  You get to know people on a deeper level and learn the “stories” behind the faces you see at Mass.  You make connections with other parishioners and more….
    What is your commitment?  We ask people to join for a six week period.  Come with an open mind, willing to share your reaction to God’s word and to listen to others’ responses.  Come with honesty, trust, charity, and a commitment to grow.
Learn more about how God works in our lives and how we can be examples of His love in our world.  Watch the church bulletin for more information.
