Faithfulness of Christ, Pope Benedict XVI has declared a “Year for Priests” beginning with the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 19, 2009. The year will conclude in Rome with an international gathering of priests with the Holy Father on June 19, 2010. With the announcement of this Year for Priests, the Pope has declared St. John Vianney the Universal Patron of Priests on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the death of the Cure d’Ars. Please pray for our priests.

SMALL FAITH COMMUNITIES Participation in a small faith community raises your awareness of what scripture says and how it fits into your life. You will be able to discuss with others the problems and challenges you are experiencing in your Christian journey. Some Small Faith Communities continue throughout the year. If you would like to join one that meets weekly to discuss the Sunday readings call Elaine at (757) 424-1558 or email her at AED999@hotmail.com. CD MINISTRY We now have two racks, one in the Commons and one in the old spot, the corridor outside the Commons leading to the side parking lot and classrooms. So remember to check on both racks for CD titles. THE HOLY LAND pilgrimage Father Mario and Dr. Bob are returning to the Holy Land for another pilgrimage from March 6th – 16th, 2010. About us... Our parish community was founded in the year 1957. In commemoration of our 50-year Anniversary in 2007, the parish community celebrated the "Jubilee Year" by having a whole variety of special events throughout the year. |
