Advent and Christmas 2017

Advent Parish Reconciliation Service

Monday, December 4, 2017 at 6:30 pm.

We will have our Reconciliation service at the beginning of Advent so that we may be prepared for the Advent Season and the coming of Christmas. This may be an excellent opportunity for the parents of children who are celebrating their 1st Reconciliation.

Special Healing Mass

Wednesday, December 6 at 6:30 pm in the church for  those who would like the sacrament of anointing.

Immaculate Conception of Mary

Observed as a Holy Day of Obligation on December 8

Upcoming Events

CCD PARENTS are invited to the Chapel for opportunities for Adult Faith Formation. While children/teens attend PREP classes on Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m., parents and adults are encouraged to grow in their love and knowledge of the Catholic faith.


THE ST. GREGORY THE GREAT GIVING TREE PROGRAM: The requests come from parishioners, foster children, teens in crisis, families in need and nursing homes. Take a tag and help make someone’s Christmas special. Return the gifts UNWRAPPED with tag attached and place under the tree. Deadline to bring gifts back is Dec. 3.

 

FLU VACCINE IS IN !!! You can do much to safeguard your health by getting a flu shot. In collaboration with Bon Secours Parish Nurse Ministry, we are offering flu shots to our adult community. This vaccination protocol has been approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing. Protection develops about 2-4 weeks after getting the shot. Please call the Church Office to set up a date and time.
